Fits true to size for most wearers. The lining is dense at first and packs down with wear, so a snug hold at the heel is normal and eases within a few days. If you are between sizes, or plan to wear these with thick socks, take the larger size. The opening is cut close to the foot, so a high instep may need a moment to settle in.

Treat the napped upper with a water and stain repellent before the first wear, and reapply through the season. Keep the shoes away from direct heat and let them air dry if they get wet, then lift the nap again with a napped leather-look brush once dry. Brush off dry dirt and salt marks instead of washing; use a napped-upper eraser on scuffs. Air the inside after long days and spot clean the lining with a damp cloth and mild soap, never in the machine.
